Safety Guidelines
Every cable and bridge is inspected each day before any tours go out. Extensive course inspections are required and completed weekly and monthly by Buffalo Mountain Ziplines. An annual course inspection is completed by Universal Zipline Technology.
All pieces of equipment are inspected and recorded after each use to ensure that our visitors’ safety is not compromised.
All participants, including guides, wear safety equipment provided by Buffalo Mountain Ziplines. Absolutely no personal equipment is allowed on the courses. Visitors are connected to the cables with safety lines at all times while on the zip line course, including skybridges and platforms. Each visitor is connected to the cables at a minimum of two points while riding the zip lines, with safety lines, carabiners and pulleys.
Participant Requirements
All minors ages 3-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guardian can be a relative, teacher, scout leader, etc.
Guests with current or re-occurring medical conditions that may interfere with the participant’s safety should not take this tour.
Relatives other than the actual parents or legal guardians cannot sign the waiver for a minor by law. The links for online waiver forms can be shared and completed in advance by the parent or legal guardian as needed. The waiver link is included with confirmation email/text for online bookings.
Communication:
Participants must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
Cameras can only be used from the platforms.
Cancellation Policy
If we cancel your tour due to inclement weather or an internal issue that prevents us from providing a tour, we will provide a full refund.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel outside of 48 hours from your tour time, you will be refunded or receive a voucher for the amount you paid. A $10 handling fee per person will be deducted for refunds.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your tour time there are no refunds or vouchers. Late arrivals will not be refunded or issued vouchers and will not be able to join the group.
Those above the safe course limit of 275 pounds will not be refunded or receive a voucher. Space is limited, guests are being turned away for your tour, and expenses have already been incurred in preparation for your tour.
Weather Policy
Mountain weather can be unpredictable, particularly during the Spring and Fall, but we do operate in rain, cold, non-accumulating snow, or shine. Please dress appropriately. We will not cancel tours due to cold or mildly rainy weather. However, we reserve the right to postpone (or pause) a tour up to one hour to wait out inclement weather – this includes heavy fog for earlier morning tours – and then start/resume the zipline tour. Management reserves the right to cancel tours due to unsafe weather conditions, such as heavy winds, heavy rain, accumulating snow, and sustained thunderstorms. If you are on tour, and management decides to cancel the tour, your entire group will be evacuated in a safely manner and escorted to the office. Depending on how far you made it through the course, we can reschedule or partially refund you.
